New Year, New Sparkle

Sweater: H&M (similar)
Jeans: Old Navy Sweetheart Skinny Jeans
Flats: Old Navy (similar)
Earrings: Swarovski (gift) (similar and cheaper)

You cannot over-sparkle or sequin on New Year's eve. Nope. Not possible. So I got out all my blue sparkly clothes and wore them to a family gathering where we ate duck, pork roast, black eyed peas, and cabbage. Then we played board games and shot off some roman candles. Oh, and popped some Christmas crackers. I know, I'm out of control. Board games are a gateway game.

I ran across this sparkle sleeve sweatshirt at H&M back home in DC this October. I was so excited because there is no H&M in Baton Rouge (but they finally opened up an online shop!) and they just opened a new one in DC near my parents' house. I found this sparkly number on the sale rack for like $10. Thank you fashion gods.

I hope you all had a safe and happy new year. Don't get too out of control with those board games people.

I'm linking up with Penniless Socialite and The Closet by Christie for this week's Favorite Fashion Friday!

  4. Thanks Alyson! I never understood why a sweater would be short sleeved anyway, I guess it's just an opportunity for layering :)
